National Skills Development Programme

The National Skills Development Programme (NSDP) was a concept by Grant Hay (NZIHF President, 2010-2016) to address the need for skills challenges for the Under-14 and Under-17 age grades.

The competition is open to NZIHF-registered males and females, and each compete within their own region.

Near the end of the season, the top three in each age grade, and in each gender advance to the National Finals round which takes place during the finals weekend of the U14 NZPIHL and U17 NZMIHL leagues.

The inaugural season of the National Skills Development Programme was 2016, and will carry through for more seasons to come.
